Jorge T. Vasquez is the president of Panama Electric, Inc. He is a master electrician with over 30 years experience. Jorge first learned the trade as an apprentice at the Panama Canal in the Republic of Panama. He worked his way up to shop manager before immigrating to the USA. Once again, he had to work himself up from the bottom. Jorge’s first job in the United States was as an electrician’s helper because his qualifications from Panama were not accepted here. He then obtained a Journeyman’s license. Later he earned his Master’s license. He became a contractor in 1997. He decided to venture out on his own in 1999 by opening Panama Electric. In 2004, he incorporated the business creating Panama Electric, Inc. Most recently, he temporary closed his business in order to work with a larger corporation in Afghanistan. He wanted to serve the troops by helping maintain the electrical power on base. He is now home and ready to serve the people of the local area. By the way, Jorge is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Brenda W. Vasquez, Jorge’s wife since 2005, is the secretary/treasurer of the corporation. She handles most of the administrative details for the company. She learned many life and job skills while being a weekend warrior. She was a Yeoman 2nd Class before her term of service ended in 1998. She spent a few years as a secondary school teacher and college tutor. Brenda is especially known for her calm demeanor, kindness and integrity. She’s always happy to help.
